I am preparing to install a new windshield in my 66 Coupe. I have the new dated glass, but need advice on what else I should purchase prior to installing it. Should I replace the molding clips, should I expect them to break when removed, and finally who is the best source for these items and the new rubber weatherstrip. I plan to use a local shop, but don't want to get it out only to find out I need to leave the car while I wait for parts. Thanks, and any other tips?

Re: Windshield Help
Get a complete set of clips and a new weatherstrip. Long Island has the clips and weatherstrip. Make sure the new clips are the same as the originals, they have sent the correct ones in the past. Once the clips have been released, they don't hold well the second time around. Whatever you do, don't hurt the mouldings. I just slice the weatherstrip with a blade and pull the outer half out of the way so you can get right at the clips to release them.- Top
