I also bought my 67 corvette from him a few years back. AM very happy with that car and going to go back again.
I just have to find a new home for the 68 first.

He's been suckered several times at his own expense thru the years also.

Ya, he's a real angel . I'll be the first to throw a stone. I ordered parts from him in the 70's and never received them or my money back. One doesn't have to search very hard to find documented stories of his "numbers matching" and "rare optioned" cars that were no such thing when he purchased them but certainly were when he sold them. I wouldn't be surprised if he built more BB mid years than GM did.

You're right, I shouldn't be upset that he ripped me off. Here's a link to a thread about one of his many "honest" dealings. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-a...oomington.html

He's a used car saleman. Nothing more.

Agree with Joe, Terry has always been upfront and honest with me. You don't stay in business as long as he has and not ruffle a few feathers. If I remember correctly the IRS problem stemmed from a wife who while Terry was out west buying cars moved his inventory and slapped divorce papers on him and froze most of his assets.
Anyone who has delt with the IRS knows they don't want to hear your problems. Just my old 2 cents
                    Terry

                      Terry,

Thank you for you positive input. Looks like there is more positive input than negative. That's one of the advantages of belonging to the NCRS, arming yourself with knowledge about Corvettes, Vendors and Salespeople.

I recently talked with the Money Man for TMCS and he stated that his investment in Terry and TMCS was the best he ever made in his life. We are talking in excess of 10 million here. He also stated Terry had a blank check for whatever he needed for Pro Team or anything else he wanted to promote.

Pretty good endorsement I would say.

seems like bad timing wanting to sell now with the down turn in the economy

The "jist" of my post on Pro-Team was to share the unbelievable experience of walking thru a "junk yard" of vettes in a different place in time,Not to hammer on Terry.I wasn't sure of his early difficulties back then other than hearsay and was just curious if anyone knew the details.

Back then ( before the internet)finding needed parts was difficult and you needed a lot of luck.Terry was ahead of the curve and his place ( for a corvette lover ) was amazing. There were at least 100 vettes in the bone yard in all conditions and piles of parts everywhere.

Joe, I guess it's all about timing. Remember back in the 70's Terry had all his FI units and parts for sale? $10,000 for 35 units, air cleaners, fuel filters etc. etc. I thought he was nuts! Oh well, live and learn!

From what I can see, the only payment methods listed are Visa, Mastercard and Discover. I wish that I had a $1.5 Mil. credit limit on my Visa. Also, I wonder how many people are "watching" to see how the auction turns out.
