All this recent talk about stamp pads has made me think of my one-owner 96's pad and brings up some questions.
First, do C4 pads have broach marks?
When I removed some of the rust from my vin derivative pad it doesn't appear that there are any.
Secondly, should I try to remove the rest of the rust on the pad for future judging? If so, what should I use?
Finally, I used an abrasive previously to remove some rust and it caused very light scratching. I know, I shouldn't have used an abrasive, but I couldn't even find the pad at first, and I really didn't think this was the pad, and I was frustrated into trying to get quick results. Will these scratches be a problem in judging?
See the attached pic. You'll also note that this pad has a factory restamp where the vin was stamped and then xed out repeatedly and restamped.
Thanks for any help
