    1960 Radiator - is it correct ?

Does this look like an original copper radiator for a 1960 ?

Does it look like the overflow tube is cut short ? If so how long should it be ?

I have had no leakage or over heating with this radiator so I would like to use it.

    Mark,

Looks the same; like the original radiator out of a one owner 60 Vette I am restoring for a client. I'll have the radiator back this week, and will post pics.

It looks correct except the overflow tube. It should extend down to about the bottom of the radiator. Also what does the tag in the middle say? I believe it should read Harrison; Lockport, N. Y.; _ _ _ (year, alpha for month); 141674. Don H.

Looks like my 1960 radiator. The core is incorrect (I think) they are meant to be diamond shape fins. The top and bottom tanks look correct. The Harrison tag looks like it's missing on the top tank. When putting a new core in it the heat from the gas axe would of probably made it come off.

To get appropriate replies to your question, people need to know what the original HP rating was, when the car was made, etc.

Lauren - my car is a 245HP dual four barrel carb engine.

            Thanks,

Loren was it the 270 and 290's that had the top tank in the 1960 set up. I think the 230 and 245 share the same typical standard type rad.
