    Kirk,
This is very well thought out. Having all the dates on one's car is cool. Now my question.......Do you have photos of all those dates? That would be even cooler!

      Gene,

I have a few pics. Not a bad idea though. Although some things I noted when items were removed and restored, and the actual dates may not now be visible. Need to keep that camera handy.

Was just wondering if anyone else had such a list and we could compare. I have gotten some earlier feedback on window dates and such to suggest that there might actually be some patterns here. Let me know what you got. Thanks.

This is a list I made for my 67.

I've also a large book of photos and paperwork.. before and after shots of many many pieces of the car.

          Stephen,

Am I reading correct that your car was built April 10? If so, that is close to my April 18th build date. Should be an interesting comparison. I have printed your document out and plan to cross-reference. One thing that jumps out at me is the August 66 glass all-around. That makes my passenger vent glass seem not so far off the mark, although April 66 seems a bit "old", but it clearly doesn't make sense as a replacement piece. Thanks.

            Kirk and Stephen,

You both did a heck of a job putting together your list of dated parts. Anyone getting ready to do a restoration needs to make note of that and be sure to take TONS of pictures. I finished my 67 last year and wished I'd thought of putting a list together like that. That was the first restoration I ever did and I learned so much from guys here on the forum. Looking at all those parts spread out over the shop floor can get pretty overwhelming. I think I only ended up with one part left which I thought was pretty good. Although I must admit I was pretty goofy by the time I was finished.

You read it correctly. I have a local 67 owner aquaintance whose car is within 300 serial numbers. It is a small block Marina Blue coupe.... GREAT COLOR choice I might add..... April was a good month

Yes it was, although mine is ermine white. Seems to me that they used the parts they had in the bins, which probably explains the 66 glass dates. Thanks for posting all your information.

Sorry about that--18621--had that in the block stamping info and then took it out because I thought it was superfluous. That's what I get for thinking!

                              Curt,

no you can see it in the car. It is on the flat where the bolts that secure it to the heater box go. Simple date. 6-67 would be June 1967.
