I need a correct replacement windshield for my 69 coupe. I would like some suggestions who to use for this. If anyone has had good success with a company, would you please pass the info to me? Thanks, Mark

Re: 69 Windshield Question
Pat,
I sent them an e-mail. We'll see what they have to say. Sounds like there is no getting around a hefty point deduction on glass. Do you know if windshields are like most vette parts. One or two places manufacture it, and everyone else sells it? Mark- Top

Re: 69 Windshield Question
I've not researched a windshield since I don't need one, but that seems to be the norm with Vette parts; I'm sure there are exceptions.
I'd try Carlisle if you can wait.

Re: 69 Windshield Question
I just purchased/installed a new date coded LOF glass windshield from Auto City Classic of Minnesota. I called OEM glass but they were having fitment issues with the 73 convertible glass. So I went with Auto City and am glad I did. Fit was great and all markings are spot on. The big expense was shipping to Florida ($110) BUT it was double boxed and trucked. You can save the shipping if you pick it up from them at Carlisle or other shows they may do. Don't bring the Yugo though because it was a BIG box. They asked for my cars VIN to get the date coding correct so they seem like they have done this thing before. Nothing like a new windshield.- Top

Re: 69 Windshield Question
Hi Mark,
I also have a windshield from Auto City Classic in my 71. I'm very pleased with it. It's not 100 %, but I felt it was the right choice. It installed very well.

They kept their promise & I received the windshield a fewweeks later.
