    Distributor Curve Specs

    Hello,

    I am in the process of rebuilding my distributor and was hoping that someone could verify these Distributor Specs. (Joe L?)

    Dist # 1112050

    Dwell: 29-31 Deg

    Centrifugal Advance: (Crank Deg @ RPM)
    0@865, 2@1335, 11@2400, 18@4200

    Vacuum Advance:
    0@8", 15@ 15.5"

      Thanks for the reply and link. That is where I got the specs from as well. Just wanted to make sure they were accurate as there was no author listed.

        Delco book says:

        Dwell 27-31* with a footnote that this is satisfactory range but setting to 29* gives a .016" point opening

        Start distributor 650 rpm = 0-2*
        1200 rpm = 4.5-6.5*
        2100 rpm = 8-10*

        It should have a 1973437 vacuum unit
        7-9 in Hg to start moving
        16-18 inches Hg for maximum advance
        Maximum distributor advance for vacuum unit = 8*

          Those specs are straight out of the 1971 Chassis Service Manual (Specifications section, page 19), except the CSM shows the vacuum advance max as 12* @ 15.5" Hg.
