    1962 intake

Behind the carburator, two bolts go into raised bosses on a 300hp intake. I think the passenger car coil bracket bolts there. I have WB1C bolts but want to know if any washer goes under them?
Also what plug goes in the back of the 3269 S carb.... does it have a tube for vacuum or not?

Gerald, I have seen a lot of WB1C coil bracket bolts on the 57 to 62.FI's. I would think they had a split lock washer. Now I don't know squat about the 62 carb intake but I will tell you a little about the 62 FI intake (base plate). The bolt closest to the center is shorter than the other otherwise you will break out the boss under the thing and be in major trouble. I don't know if this issue exists with the carb intake though. Thank you John, but this does't answer my question. I still need to know aboutthe plug in the back of the AFB carb? I am thinking there is no provision in the WCFB for Vacuum, hence the hollow stud.

Gerald, My original 1962 340 hp 3269S carb has a hex head threaded plug in the center of the back of carb. The drivers side rear carb-to-manifold mounting stud is hollow to supply vaccum to the windshield washer. Does that answer your question? Larry

            Gerry--
The bolts in question on 62's are almost always an "E" that's off to the side, with a slight dimple depressed in the center of the bolt. It has an intergral flange on the head of the bolt, and the underside is serrated to dig into the metal and prevent from turning.
BTW--I'll be calling you tomorrow afternoon to catch up from behind on getting back to you.
