I was reading the post on expansion tanks and went and looked at mine, March 30th build. Below the "Harrison", "3155416" and "fill 1/2 full" it has a large "66K". Is this Nov. or Dec 1966 ? Also what other dates for same time frame cars? Jerry F., Kent K. Joe Randolph etc? Thank you Dale

Re: 1967 radiator expansion tank
My 67 built on Dec. 7, 66 has the original overflow tank and is stamped with 66K which is supposed to be October 66. The letter "I" was passed over in stamped numbers. It would be November if the date was cast in place. I stand corrected if I am wrong.

Re: 1967 radiator expansion tank
I think that Dale's initial question was to confirm whether 66K was November or December. I have always known 66K to be October 1966, because of it being stamped into the tank instead of being cast into it. Stamping excludes the use of the letter "I" and cast in place uses the letter "I".

Re: 1967 radiator expansion tank
Thank you Warren, I knew it was original. My car was built March 30th 1967 and delivered in L.A. on April 13th as written in the POP by the dealer Warren Biggs Chev. I also have a non member friend who has a March 15th build with 27K original miles( SB, 4 sp, A/C). His expasion.tank is also stamped in the metal "66k". Now we know that the tanks are dated Oct.1966. Kirk yours is Oct. 1966 also. Thank you Dale- Top
