63 Rear Spring Color

[FONT='Tahoma','sans-serif']It is my understanding for my 63 that the color for the rear spring (light gray) is the same for all the mid years including 68-72. I just rebuilt my 68 coupe rear spring and I had left over paint from the kit I purchased from quanta I would like to use the left over paint I have, but I wanted to confirm if my understanding is correct. Any help is appreciated. Attached is a picture of my 68 rear spring I installed two weeks ago. Jeff

Jeffery, Your spring looks very nice, I don't think gray is used until 1964 but someone will correct me if I am wrong. I can tell you the spring along with rear axle, driveshafts etc. is all blacked out with that black tar like paint so the spring should appear black on the exposed surfaces.

Jeff, 63 rear springs were bare. Not grey for sure. Use the search for more info. John
