    C3 door removal

    I'm thinking of stripping off the paint from my 69 so I can restore it to it's original color and it appears to me I'll need to take the doors off. Does anyone know the best procedure for doing this?

      Jim, years ago I removed the doors on my '77. With the windows down I removed the door panel and vapor barrier first then disconnected the electrics for the power windows. I supported the full length of the doors with a homemade wooden stand and covered the doors with moving pads and supported the outside of the door so it would not fall over. Then I unbolted the hinges, bottom, then top and TWO of us walked it away from the car. These things are very heavy.

          Steven, did you have to remove the dash to get at the bolts holding the doors on? Jim
