I have owned many 62's over the years and I just found a 62 owner's manual that is slightly shop-worn. How do I tell if this is an original or simply a repo that I bought at some time in the past? Any simple tell tale indications?
62 owner's manual-original or not?

Re: 62 owner's manual-original or not?
There is no easy answer to your question. There is a slight difference between original Helm Owners manuals and the manuals Helm made for Chevrolet as a service item. Its hard to describe but the quality of the photography in the originals is much clearer than the reissues. If you had them side by side you'd see what I'm saying but until you have the opportunity to do that it is difficult to explain. The presence of the Corvette News card does not make it an original as many (not all) the reissues had cards also. My opinion is the lack of the Corvette News card (stub in place) actually is a good start to determining that an Owners manual may be a real one.- Top

I think so too, especially if that info is on an un-numbered page, "Contents" front an "Congratulations...." back and you have a page 85-86 "Index". Also, at the very back, a flap that is an extension of the Corvette Owner's Kit request form in the very front.
