Rally Wheels Date Code

Hello All,

It's been a while since I've posted on here. I have yet another question I hope someone can answer. It pertains to the date coding on Rally wheels. What is a good preceeding date stamping for the wheels as compared to the vehicles build date. I have located a correct set of wheels but they preceed my cars build date by 3 months. Would these be acceptable or do I need to find a set closer to the cars build date of January 30th 1969?

My Dec. 7, 66 built 67 has the 5 original rally wheels and all are date stamped 10-66.

My January 29 1970 Corvette has wheels dated slightly more than a month before the build.

On the other hand NCRS allows a six-month window for dates.

My Jan 22 70 has all 5 wheels 12 18 69.
