Is the long glove box door catch screw chrome plated? I was bead blasting it the other day and I saw what appeared to be a copper coating underneath the top coating which was too scuffed up to determine its' proper finish. The copper makes me think that it was chrome. Any body got a clue? Thanks!!

Both my 57 and 62 are chrome plated. I'm pretty confident that the 62 is original as I've owned it over 35 years. Rich- Top

Justin I'm with Richy on this one mine is also chrome. Ted I think they should look like a large wood screw. You probably threw the original out. OOPs

Thanks alot for the pics. That does look like it.
Fortunately, I think I may still have it. In general I'm a pack rat and don't throw anything away. My wife complains about that but I keep convincing her that the are valuable pieces. I still have some pieces from a '60 I did 7-8 years ago.
I'll have to go dig through the left over parts and see what's there. I still have pieces of the original dash pad, the door pads, seat covers, wiring harness, etc.- Top
