      ...sometimes after not-so-many years. They are not available in reproduction as far as I know. However, a suitable replacement can be cut from a piece of gray, open-cell foam which is pretty easy to come by, often for free.

                      The wiper solenoid isn't grounded to the back of the tach so you could plug in a new one and tie it up behind the dash if you wanted to do it quick and dirty. The solenoid is attached to the tach near the bottom of the dash pad and should be readily accessable from under the dash. If you remove the four bolts that hold the drivers seat in remove it then lie on the floor with your feet in the storage area it's a little easier to get under the dash, especially if your flexibility isn't what it used to be - that's what I did to get behind my dash and it was a lot easier than trying to twist around the seat and open door.
