I wish I had a spare 906 and 908. I'm make a "907" (tach drive with vac adv) out of them to go along with the 7011956 FI unit for the 56.

Hi Tom, I have heard of the 7011956 Fi units. Many here have not though. (betcha). In fact it was a school unit. GM training center had them.
I think Kenny Kayser has a write up about this rare unit in his wonderful book. You turkey you.
Don't go trying to put a 906 top on a 908 distributor just so you can have a VA. Will not work as the height of the tops are different. Different cams and different main shaft.

We couldn't see in the kitchen window (or any window), didn't have the infrared capability at that altitude (about 25,000ft).

The distributor in my Eb Rose / George Moore 54 with the 57 black widow engine..has a Nov.56 tach drive 889. Maybe an early 908 conversion? or combination of 889 & 908.

FYI..my unusual tach drive 889 ( original tag ) has the longer 908 emboss and the tach drive. What ever was done to make this was done long ago and probably in 1957. Of course the engine came out of a factory race car so no telling whose work it is.

I was just commenting about it unusual-ness. This is not the distributor on ebay.
