      I also have two without date stamps and the GM stamp on the riser is either upside down or sideways. I never knew early wheels had no date code stamped into them.

        Yes, my undated wheels have the GM and the K-H stamp. Just wanted to confirm that they're not repros.

            My 2 wheels without K-H stamps or dates do have a GM stamped on a rise between 2 lug holes. This wheel configuration is not reproduced by any vendor.

              Not to change the subject but what's the purpose of the little holes for the 64 wheels, I see no use for this..

                  I have 10 of these wheels I've collected over the years for my two '63s and they are all more or less identical - except I do have one in which the "GM" stamp is rotated 90 degrees.

                    Hi,I've been trying to following this thread for what year one of my rims is. The info near the valve stem is K19 12 (valve stem hole) then 30. On the inside it reads K below that is 9 and below that is 12.Can someone help me decipher this info?ThanksJerry

                      Jerry,

                      K = Kelsey-Hayes, the manufacturer
                      1 = Romulus, MI (the plant where the wheel was made)
                      9 = 1969 (or possibly 1979)
                      12 = December
                      30 = 30th day of the month

                      Dec. 30, 1969 (or 1979?)

                      Is there a 2-letter code after the "30" (example: "AZ")?

                      K-H wheels made in the 1980's have a 2-digit year ("84" = 1984).

                        Nice photos. You close to getting your "baby" back on the road?

                          As perhaps a final addition to the thread, I would note that I have two July '64 wheels with the small hole - I would also note that these wheels do NOT have the "GM" stamp.

                            Loren,

                            Since your two wheels with the small hole are dated July 1964 with the small hole and I assume they look like 63-64 Corvette wheels and that the hub diameter measures 2 29/32" (2.91"). The GM part number would be 3939814. Years ago I had a NOS 3939814 wheel dated March 1965 as well as a used one dated "6 64" (or possibly "9 64" ???). The factory installed 63-64 Corvette wheels have a hub hole 2 25/83" (2.78") diameter. I believe that your wheels might be correct for a very late 1964 Corvette made in the last few weeks of production buy others may disagree.
