I have collected four c-3 radios and have noticed a difference in the tone tab centered positions. Three green dial radios are as follows, 12 o'clock, 6 o'clock a stereo between 3 and 4 o'clock and the fourth a 72' (non stereo) white face @ 6 o'clock. If using 68' knobs, (that do not have a tabs) the position would not be a visual concern. The AIM pic.reveals a 6 o'clock position and many cars I have seen usually show a 6 o'clock position. Has anyone observed this difference before and does 6 o'clock position seem correct for a 70'? With out a label or model #, could this indicate the correct c-3 radio for a given year? Steve

Re: C-3 Radio tone centered @ 6 o'clock position
Hi Steven,
I've recently had some dealings with member Jerry Rudbeck, the radio man. He might be able to answer your quesion about 'tone' position and also if there are ways to identify a radio that's lost it's part # sticker. PM?
Regards,
Alan
PS: He has my 71 radio right now or I'd check it for you!71 Coupe, 350/270, 4 speed
