Should I expect much luck locating hard to find parts at Spring Carlisle? I'm looking for date coded starter, alternator, some rocker panels - lots of small stuff for my '70. I'm planning to go tomorrow but just not sure what to expect for hard to find Corvette parts.

Re: spring carlisle?
I was there yesterday - Friday. You might find small stuff. But it's unlikely you'll find the big stuff and correctly dated starters and alternators. There's some Corvette stuff there. But the vendors know it's Corvette stuff, and therefore charge the same high prices as at Corvette Carlisle. At Corvette Carlisle, at least the selection will knock your socks off.- Top

Re: spring carlisle?
Thanks for all the help guys. I had a good day of walking and at least found a proper drivers side rocker molding. The passenger side didn't have the tab so I have more work to do. The one I found is rough but i paid $50 thinking that wasn't too bad. No alternator or starter - like trying to find a needle in a haystack. There was a very nice '70 conv. up on the hill with a dealer which I was very impressed with. A two owner car with most original parts, even had the TCS set-up. A very nice silver with red interior. Price was $32.5k which I thought was a good starting point.
The highlight for me was the grabber yellow maverick. I would love to see my son driving around in that puppy. Nearly perfect and only asking $8900. never thought I would be drooling over a maverick!- Top
