    Missing Ground Strap

Guys, at the last chapter Flight judging, one judge told me that my car's engine was missing a grounding strap. I have surmised that the missing strap is the braided copper grounding strap that the '65 JG says runs from the accelerator lever to the intake manifold. In my quest to correct point deductions, I bought a new repro from Long Island Corvette but am stymied in the installation.

The JG tells me that the intake manifold bolt used is the one that secures the driver's side ignition/distributor shield support bracket. I can see that the strap should attach to the point where the accelerator rod meets the accelerator lever. If this is correct, what is the correct order from cotter pin on the outside end"? -Clark

Check your AIM under the radio section (my 64 AIM has it under U69, sheet 5.00) If you have a Shop Manual try Sec 13.
If you are talking about the ground strap which goes to the accelerator lever not there is NO star washer called for (your JG may call for one so make a copy of the AIM page for your next meet)
