My '62

As with a lot of folks hitting middle age, I've been thinking about my first car and first Corvette and where is it now. A couple of years back I half heartly tried to track down the car without any result -posting it in Driveline, running the VIN in some website, contacting N.Y. DMV, etc. I sold the car back in 1973 to a friend in Westchester, NY. He sold the car about a year later to someone in the same area. A couple of years ago, he sent me the original paperwork - manual, Wonderbar instructions, etc to me which had the VIN. Although I probably wouldn't be in the financial position to buy it back, it would be cool to at least find out if it still exists or what happened to it.
Any ideas or direction would be appreciated.

Found my ol' High School 1958 270HP. Cause the guy was going for Duntov Award in the early 90's. He tracked us down. Thought I was through w/ Vettes. Glad I had it when I was 17yrs old. in 1969-74. Back then thought I didnt wanna be an old duff in his 40-50's driving a Young Mans Car. What do I know. Search lotta Google Corvette sites w/ wanted info and cars. Post everwhere. You'll be surprised what may turn up. In this Internet/info age.

Since you have the VIN, if you have a friend in Law Enforcement that can access the LEAPS/NCIC data base that is willing to run it; It will reveal the present owner if it is currently registered.

Hi- Since you have the vin #,have you tried the c1 registry?(I think it's c1registry.com)
