On Used Corvettes for Sale there is a nice 1970 LS5 for sale: http://www.usedcorvettesforsale.com/...tte-30245.html. The asking price seems a bit low for a matching numbers car, but you never can tell. Now a week ago I asked this Private Party for the history of the car but no responce at all. Calling this seller is no good option for me. First of all I'm bad hearing, and what can he tell me? is there anyone with a great idea in getting information? Of course, any costs in getting this info wil be made good by me.

Re: Seller '70 LS5 keeps quiet
Robert, a couple of observations.
1. It's an auto, so is the price really off that much? (don't know C3s very well)
2. Does the color hurt the value? (I personally like the color, but it isn't red or black or silver)
3. Maybe the seller is on vacation or something or just not in a hurry? Dunno.Chris Enstrom

Re: Seller '70 LS5 keeps quiet
Robert,
Try again to get the info from the seller. For some reason he may be unavailable (i.e. vacation). Additionally, ask for some additional pictures such as the engine compartment, engine pad, more exterior views, copies of any documentation, etc. If he doesn't respond this time, walk away.- Top

Re: Seller '70 LS5 keeps quiet
You say the price seems low but what are you looking at? I looked at the ad and all I see is shinny paint with some chips. It looks good in the picture but I can tell you my vette looks good in pictures but in real life it's bad! It doesn't say anything about being restored so I would only assume it to be a nice driver and if that's the case the price seems fair. You really need to see the body in person to see if it has been hit and or how and repairs were done. And get a look underneath to see what the frame looks like and how the rest of the drive train is. It could be a real nice car or a rolling money pit. These cars arent cheap to restore so look close at what you are getting for your money. Sometimes it is cheaper to spend more on a good car. Good luck.- Top
