I drove the car to Florida for vacation in 2007 (along with two other Corvettes) and had no problems at all. When attempting to leave a parking garage at Daytona Beach, I depressed the clutch pedal to start the car and my foot went directly to the floor. I released the emergency brake, pushed in the clutch (to the floor) and bumped the ignition key. The car lunged forward, letting me know that I had no clutch what so ever. Upon further inspection, we found that the hydraulic fluid had leaked out. This was caused due to the fact that the braided hose had been in contact with my headers (Jet Hot coated) and burned through. Got the car to Tom Gibbs Chevrolet in Palm Coast, Florida. They replaced the hose (and made sure it would not touch the header) and bled the air out of the system. Again, no problems at all. At this point, the car had 46K miles on it.
