    Turn Signal Connectors

I recently purchased 2 Original front turn signals for my 65 Corvette. When I was trying to install them, I found that the male rubber connector that plugs into the main wiring harness was not very pliable; I was unable to make the connection.
Does anyone know of a method of "softening" the connector without destroying it?
I have tried using WD-40 with little success.

Pure silicone grease works good for me. It also protects the contacts. Unless of course the hardness is from age and UV rays. Then it will just make it a bit more slippery and that might help. Paul
    It's a good life!

Believe it or not, dish soap works pretty well.
