I bought a halatron fire extinguisher and mounting bracket. It mounts under the two front bolt of the seat. The original bolts are not long enough and they give you new bolts. My question is will I lose points when it is judged because of the bolts not being the originals? If so I guess I mount it and remove the bracket for judging and put it in the back so I still get the extra points for the fire extinguisher. Also does the NCRS decal have to be on the window for the extra points--I don't really like putting stickers on my windows. Thanks Paul

Might get away with some discreet scotch tape on the decal.1973 LS4 coupe. Dark Blue / Black. Turbo Hydra-Matic, PW, PB, PS, Rear Defog, Tilt/Tele, AC, Map Lamp, AM/FM.

Re: Fire Extinguisher Mounting Question
I tried to use the same bracket but realized with the front carpet flaps in 67 that it wouldn't work. I would have had to bend the carpet flaps back to mount the bracket. So, I used the same bracket and put four squares of velcro on it and set it on my jack board carpet behind the driver's seat. The bracket stays put with the velcro squares and holds the fire extinguisher in place. Not exactly what they meant for you to do, but it works and keeps the fire extinguisher from moving around and in an easily accessible place in case it is needed. Just a thought.
