    57 FI engine

    Hi. Has anyone had experience with or know of a company that authentically "reproduces" old Corvette blocks/engines (ie correct castings, dates and stampings with authentic broach marks)? Or even better, does anyone have any idea where I can find an original 57 FI engine block? Thanks.

      What is the VIN or production date of the car, and are you looking for a 250 HP or a 283 HP block?

          The VIN is #6148 and it was assembled on August 28, 1957. I believe the car to have been a 283 HP version. Thanks.

              Billy, under the Corvette Parts section of Hemmings there are a couple of companies in WI that sell blocks and have 548's.
