    69 Steering Column Repair Service

    I am removing my T&T steering column for multiple repairs and refinish. Do any of you have recommendations on possible shops that repair/restore steering columns?

      www.columnsgalore.com in New York does good work. Their column rebuild parts may not be 100% Corvette. The question would be if they could be detected as not being of Corvette origin.

      www.gmtiltsteeringcolumn.com Known as Steering Column Services. Offers a column rebuilding service.

      These are the two major rebuilders that I am aware of. I am sure there are others.

                  I have visited the www.corvettesteering.com websight in the past. They have a lot of steering column parts available. I don't find any listing of a steering column rebuild service. If they provide that service I will add them to my list of rebuilders.

                  BTW, I see on their sight that they list the 1969-1976 T&T key buzzer switch as becoming available in June. That part has been nearly impossible to find over the last several years. It will be good to have a source for that part.

                      Thanks a million for the information. Jim, I thought the same thing but after taking a second look, there is a section offering steering column rebuild service as well. I really appreciate the help guys! Jim - your steering column papers are awesome and extremely helpful.

                          They do rebuilds. You have to look under "services."
                          They're better on the phone than they are at building websites.
