The windshield wiper motor on my '63 won't go to park position. Can anyone direct me to an internal wiring diagram so that I can troubleshoot this problem? Thank in advance for your help. Herb

Re: C-2 Wiper motor problem
Herb,
if your switch is bad it would cause this problem. Otherwise this usually happens because the grease in the motor has dried out and needs to be replaced. Not a hard job. you need to remove the washer pump and cover then clean the old grease out and regrease.

Re: C-2 Wiper motor problem
Thanks Rick: I have already had the motor apart, cleaned and lubed while doing the restoration of the car. Every thing was working OK until the wipers failed to park. I have already removed the washer pump assembly, but I need a wiring diagram to troubleshoot where the problem is located. It doesn't look too complicated, but I don't want to disassemble any more than is necessary to repair the problem. Thanks again. Herb- Top

Re: C-2 Wiper motor problem
Open your copy of the 1963 Corvette Shop Manual to Electrical-Body & Chassis, Section 12-15. You'll find the WS wiper motor overhaul and diagnosis described including a problem/remedy troubleshooting guide at the rear of the section...- Top
