Re: C2 Power Antenna
Part of the problem is if it's original, the inside piece is not plastic but a steel cable. There are several folks who advertise in the Driveline who can do a proper repair, but I don't know of anyone who sells the parts for a DIY.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: C2 Power Antenna
Bill:
Thanks for your reply. As I did some additional research, the inside "wand" is supposed to be a steel cable, yet when I opened my casing, I definitely saw a broken plastic cable. I am certain that the antenna is the original and is otherwise in good condition, however we can assume that someone has already made a repair in the past by replacing the steel cable with a plastic cable. I will contact the few guys who restore these antennas to ask their opinion.

Re: C2 Power Antenna
Chuck:
Thank you for not only your recommendation of Greg Thompson, but for providing his telephone number. I just spoke to him about 30 minutes ago and he is already "on the job". I will be sending him a photo tomorrow so he can confirm that my antenna is the original and not a good reproduction (he is curious since I told him that the broken "wand" is plastic and not the typical steel cable). He said that it may have been "creatively" restored in the past, but he'll know if its the "real McCoy" when he sees the photo. Anyway, I know that he's the right guy for the job!
Thanks again,
