You might try Grossmueller's or Mary Jo, or Paragon Vintage might have a hulk they can remove one from.

Josh, just looked at a couple of bodys and it looks like it just uses the standard aluminum button headed 3/16' rivet thats used all over the car, such as center seat belt ret plate, cowl vent accurater nut plate, main soft top mount bar ect.

Mark, that looks like a pretty good template to use. Why not try and make 2 I'll buy the other one off you ? I'm surprised it's made of alloy, it's not real strong. Stewy

Do you need the tunnel cover, or just the reinforcement shield?

the time i broke a ujoint in my 59 i was glad it was there, but 61 and 62 never used it, so it must not be necessary.

I just need the metal shield. Corvette Central has the fiberglass tunnel which I don't need.

If anyone knows of a repro metal shield please let me know.

I'll reach out to the used part vendors to see if they have one.

Ed - thanks for that ! I could not get it to come up in any of my searches for "Transmission", "Trans" and "Shield".

Sometimes the CC search function is not always 100% reliable.

                    Thanks,

Tell me about it. They call it a Driveshaft shield. Good luck on your car.
