    C1 Exhaust Manifold Studs

    Hi,

I recently replace my 61's exhaust manifold studs on both manifolds with new studs purchased from Paragon. It appears the passenger side studs are too short to bolt up the exhaust pipe with the heat riser installed.

Can any one tell me the proper lenght of the passenger side studs?

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Dennis

My original studs on my 1960 exhaust manifold are 3 and 9/16 on the passenger side. The length from the bottom of the flange mating surface to the end of the stud is 3" and the threads drop 2 5/8" below the flange mating surface.

      Mark,

Thanks, your information supports what I thought. My longer studs are a little less then 3" long. After installation, before the heat riser valve is installed, I only have 2 1/2" left. The first 1/4" - 5/16" of the tip is not threaded. There just isn't enough thread left to get the nuts on.

      Regards,

      Dennis

Dennis it looks like C/C doesn't have the long bolts listed. I can't find any in the catalog, or their site. I bought the long ones from my local exhaust company they had heaps. I'm not sure if the savvy judges look that far into it ? Stewy

          Stewart,

Thanks for the info. I have checked most of the major parts suppliers online catalogs and so far no luck. I think it is time to start making some phone calls.

          Thanks,

          Dennis
