We have been attending every year since 1991. Lived through all of the locations and changes. They have been stepping up the show to new levels in the last few years.

We will be there with our 1972 car that was awarded a survivor last year. It will be in the forsale lot...check it out and introduce yourself.

Conducting a new GoldSchool class with Al Grenning early Thursday AM, then being the "Factory Rep" at the main GoldSchool all-morning event, then judging 67's with Ken Naber, Steve Hack, and Reg Farnum on Friday. Hope it isn't 98* on Friday as it usually is .

I've attended every one since '88 except for '03 as I did the 50th Anniversary Caravan which was the same weekend. This year I'm driving my '84 as it has been invited to be displayed in the Special Collection. Hope to see some of you there...

Michael - Those are great pics of the early years. The McLean County Fairgrounds are long gone now. A giant Lowes and a Toy R Us occupy the hallowed ground these days! I live in Bloomington now and hear many of the long time residents talk fondly of the days when the Bloomington Corvette show was right here in the middle of town. Those years out at the Interstate Center don't count.

                  Cheers

Not to mention the IHOP where some of the Coral pictures were taken.
Mid way thru the '79 pix,the one with the red convertible, the Goodwood Green Coupe with the Whitewalls in the background may have been mine.
Used to be there each year with Tim selling wire harnesses.

Actually, I thought Bill was third from left. Fourth from left looks like Carl Strohm, maybe. But I will ahve to take my shoes off to count that high.

I can make it easy for you Tom -- I am not in that picture. Contrary to popular belief, that photo is before my time.

If you follow the link Mike Hanson posted below, I think I am in one of the 1975 pictures -- drooling on Bauxbaum's Grand Sport.

Here we go. We all have numbers now. Kinda like inmates.

I went to the fairgrounds, followed it to Springfield, back to the Interstate Center, and to St. Charles. When it left the fairgrounds, to me, it just became another Corvette show, just larger than most. The barns full of good used and NOS parts were well worth the trip. I worked the swap meet for a few years. A couple of times I bought more parts than I sold. Almost everything I needed for my L/88 I purchased there. Some very good memories

As a matter of fact most folks don't remember that for the first couple of years there was a "Custom Class" at Bloomington Gold. I was one of those judges from the very start.
