I recently bought some Corvette parts from someone with a bunch of old parts that were sitting in the attick of a body shop. One of the parts is a foward lamp harness that I believe is correct for my car. It is very dusty, but I believe its NOS. I need one for my 1970 and this looks to be correct. My harness was butchered by one of the previous owners. Based on what is left of mine, I would say this is a good match. The question is does anyone know how to determine the exact year(s) it is for?

For all practical purposes, the only way to determine, for sure, the application for the harness is to have the GM part number for the harness assembly. This number will usually only be found on the packaging that the SERVICE harness was supplied in.
Otherwise, the only way to tell is to compare the harness, wire-by-wire, to a known original harness for a certain application. Even then, this will only tell you if the harness is the same as the known-original. If it's not the same, you still won't know what the application is. So, this method is not too practical. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
