    Power steering conversion Kit

I have been talking to John Mollere who advertises in the Driveline about his PS conversion kit for midyears.

He seems to be a pretty straight shooter and I would like any feedback anyone has on their experieince with John and his product.

I'm going to order the kit next week.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

    Re: Power steering conversion Kit

Make sure you understand what you're getting with the 'kit'. MOST of those packaged by various catalog houses are NOT a complete kit; just the common 'core' components.

A complete kit would have to be manifold, consisting of unique components for a specific year car as well as target engine + option compliment. What's generally listed is a 'omnibus' kit--fits 19XX-YY Corvettes.

When you get one of these, you'll find this/that specific pulley isn't there and the matching v-belt(s) are AWOL because certain portions of the system were car/engine/configuration specific. That leaves you in the position of not being able to complete the installation until you round up the necessary parts unique to your specific car...

No conversion kits using stock-type components (which are the only conversion kits I am aware of on the market today) will work with a small block with "6 quart" oil pan application.
