    Lot S50 1953 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster
    235/150 HP, Automatic, Serial No. 44

    The engine on #44 uses an engine block that was only used for the early part of 1953 Corvette production run
    - The body panels, door, hood, trunk and deck lid are the original handmade pieces that were installed on the car in 1953
    - 235/150 HP
    - White with Black top and Red interior
    - Automatic
    - Heater, radio
    - 1st design carburetors
    - Early type wheel covers
    - Original early grill teeth numbered 1-6

    The casting #.

    Early used the 3701481 block. Late and all 54 used the 3835911.

      Are there internal or external differences or are "bolt ons" like water pump, fuel pump, etc. with different mounting, etc.?

        There are a lot of differences between the 53 and 54 Corvette motor.

        The block itself looks "the same". Between 53 and 54, the head is different, the valve cover is different, etc. Carbs are S in early cars, SA in later ones, etc., etc.

        You've got zillions of running changes in 53's alone.

          Aw, pick a block...any block....we got plenty of them...(Saginaw Foundry shipping dock in the L-6 era).
