    alignment of C-6 wheels

I realize this question is a bit out preservation of NCRS 53 -93 yrs. However I am sure I can get an accurate an swer to my question . Tire wear seems to be a problem on newer vettes. Any information on change in alignment after a few thousand miles would be appreciated. Vette shops seem to have incomplete answers on this problem of camber setting. thanks

    Re: alignment of C-6 wheels

Tom, there are lots of threads on the subject of alignment over on the Corvette Forum. I have even seen some with recommended camber settings for the street. There does seem to be complaints of abnormal tire wear due to poor alignment -- even when that alignment is within factory specifications.

I usually do my own alignments, but the equipment that is available to me will not work on 19-inch wheels. I have been lobbying for an equipment upgrade, but without success so far. Thus I can not offer any first-hand experience.

If I am successful in making the round trip to the convention and back, I will have close to 20K on the Corvette and it surely will be time for new shoes. So far at almost 12K the tires seem to be wearing evenly, so I am counting myself lucky.

if you are not autoXing or doing track days set the front chamber as close to "0" as posible to cut down on inside edge front tire wear. keep all other setting at factory. i do all my new corvettes this way
