Ok what's going on here. I just put a service replacement signal lever on my 1960 and it is a different colour, a lot different !! The one I took off is an original and is very white and weighs a ton. The new one is a lot lighter, has a longer thread and is more ivory in colour. What colour is tenite meant to be. All the photos look really white like my old one. Stewy

Re: What Colour Is Tenite
Wow Tom good info. And to think I thought it was just typical Placky. I kind of still don't believe it. If the figures are correct it's very impressive and doesn't get enough recognition. It's been around for 60 plus years and I have really heard zip about it. Very interesting. Stewy- Top

Re: What Colour Is Tenite
I purchased a turn signal handle from CC in 1989 and it was bright white and did not look like the original handle plastic knob color. I put my original back on and forgot about it. Does any vendor currently make a good repro handle with correct plastic knob color?- Top

Re: What Colour Is Tenite
Joe that's interesting because I purchased the same turn signal from C/C and it's more ivory that white. Gee 20 years later it's gone the other way ? I thought there would be more responses on this, it's a no brainer white or white ivory. Stewy- Top

Re: What Colour Is Tenite
Have you purchased new door opener knobs from CC? If so, how did they look and feel? I also purchase new knobs 20 years ago and they were light weight and did not have the shiny luster that my original knobs had. My original knobs were more like tiny cue balls, but the repros were cheap white plastic.- Top

Re: What Colour Is Tenite
Tenite is the trademarked name of a plastic made by Eastman Corp.
It can came in almost any color.
If someone needed a specific color match for an item such as a turn signal lever or a plastic connector it could be formulated.
But , there would be a upcharge and you would probably have to buy something like 500 pounds.- Top
