The 1965 JG, Section 10 Transmission, page 148 states: "Note: Do not judge transmission casting numbers, manufacturing dates, or VIN derivatives."
Because of this, there must be some transmissions that are not correctly date-coded for the car. NCRS judges the engine stamp pad but not this? Can anyone tell me why?

when we are lying on the ground and could not get under the car to judge those numbers, plus when you add sidepipes it is impossible to even see under the center of the car
