One was bid to $105k no $250k listed on the results. Sell thru was fairly low this year reflecting the economy??

I wonder if the fact that the Camaro Nationals were going on at the same time had some type of effect? I noticed lots of missing faces and was told that they were in Carlisle.

Was I dreaming or hallucinating Saturday? We were headed for the john in the front of the building Saturday afternoon and I glanced up at the screen to see what was up for bid. I thought the screen showed a midyear and the bid was up to $960,000. Anyone know what happened?

Thanks Steve, as I said I was on a mission(headed to john) and didn't get a chance to see what it was. Being it was THAT car is easy to understand the high bid. Did any thing else bring a higher bid?

Henry, I believe that was the high bid of the auction.

I looked at the auction results. There were some cars, knowing their history, that brought all the money in the world that were no sale's. Still a lot of pipe dreamers

Watching on TV Saturday, a '67 Black/Black Car with Red Stinger first looked like it sold for 250K. The buyer insisted his bid was 240K. On TV Dana Mecum made a deal with the seller to pay the 250K to the seller and have the buyer pay the 240K. I wonder why that sale is not showing up?

I was there for both days and there was no real money present.
Most bids were "house bids" to prompt interest at a certain level.
                              Few sales of prominent cars.
The 67 400 air roadster(black) from the Paul Pierce collection was
"house bid" up to $230. There was a legitimate bid at $240 but the
house bid it up to $250 at which point the announcement was made that the reserve was off and the car was selling. The $240 bidder would not pay $250 and since there was no $250 bid, the car did not sell.
Thats the real world of car auctions. Caveat Emptor!!
