Vaccume Advance Line

Im looking for help with the proper routing of the advance tube and hose for my 69 L46. I have been looking for an example of what its supposed to look like but without any luck. I was hoping that someone can post a picture of a correctly installed set up. Thanks for the help.

from dobbins vette vues. Must have book IMO.

Tubes much different from my 70-L46. Check the doc's he may have the 69 tube. The 70 was never repop'd, but a few years ago with a lot of help I had it done and available

Thank you very much this is exactly what I was looking for. It makes more sense now I was trying to line it up with the wrong port! No wonder it didnt seem right (It wasnt). I never heard of the book "Vette Views" I need to find it I am sure it will be very usefull in my attempt to put this car back together correctly.

Vette Vues is a monthly magazine. The book referenced above is "Vette-Vure Fact Book 1968-1972" by MF Dobbins. As the title suggests there are other editions for other years. Try the NCRS store which you can connect to from one of the radio buttons at the top of this page.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but while we are in the advance tube mode.....

In the 69 L-46 photo the long vac tube exiting behind the vac can is attached to the smog setup.( 69 7029207 carb)



In 1970 the L-46 didn't have smog (7040207)unless the calif version (7040507). So I assumed this photo was of a 507 but it was suggested maybe not. Could a 207 possibly have had this tube Thoughts??
