One less 67 red big block coupe

This car was stored in the garage of a friend and member of my church. No idea what started the fire in the garage--he was not at home. His 2000 yellow convertible in front of the garage was also totalled, as was their Blazer in the driveway. Burned yesterday (7/2) Article is in today's Milwaukee Journal (7/3/09)

From the remnants of the tail lights, the non-stock side exhaust system, and other clues, this car is a '68-'73 Corvette (chrome bumper C3).

I finally caught up to my friend--their house is badly damaged enough that they are not allowed to stay there--and his cell phone was inside.
The newspaper was wrong --fancy that!!!!!---it was/ is a 68 big block coupe, not a 67.
