    Holley Tri-Power Metering Blocks

I need two metering blocks for my secondary carbs. They are Holley part # 34R5113-3, .076 main and .035 idle, but are discontinued from Holley. Any idea of where to get these, or a good quality replacement. Or am I searching for something that just doesn't exist?

just drill the idle to .035" on the ones with the correct jet size

Clem, I will be stopping in to see the engine builder tomorrow. I'm sure he wont have a problem with drilling them to .035. Thank You

Ned --- Your post piqued my curiosity, as I'd never looked at the numbers of the metering plates on my model 2300 tripower outboard Holley carbs (late '69 setup).

Seems I have the "dash-3" ; so I posted this pic (upside down to read the small cast and stamped numbers) that others might follow what is being discussed.

Wayne, They are the correct metering plates for your carbs. The only issue can be if they have been drilled out by a previous owner. Mine were drilled out to .093, way beyond the .076 theyre suppossed to be. I realize it doesnt seem to be alot when were talking thousands here but I guess it means alot to the tuning of the engine. I am far from an expert on carbs though so keep that in mind. I found 2 brand new correct Holley metering plates today, at least thats what the guy claims. They are being overnighted to me so I should have them tomorrow. If they are new and he has more Im going to buy alot more of them for future use and for someone else that may need them. Ill keep you posted. Ned

i have "bushed" the metering plates down after someone had drilled the jet passage oversize. jet sizes are determined by the "area" of the bore so a .093 bore would be a lot larger than .076 bore

I received the metering plates. This has to be the first time I actually received something overnight when it was shipped overnight. And they were truly brand new like he said, I couldnt believe it. I didnt think Id find two new ones. Back on the dyno tomorrow to see what we come up with.
                    Thanks for the help....Ned
