How far off can side mirror glass be from build date?

Just wondering for judging how far off side mirror glass can be dated from car's build date. 6 months like many other parts? Would an October 66 glass be ok for an April 67 build date?

    Thanks.

Seems a little too early to me, but I haven't judged that many cars, so don't take my word for it.

I heard earlier on the board that 6 months is the acceptable window. Seems like Oct to Apr is a bit of a stretch.

The Corvette Judging Reerence manual is a good source for this information. It states:No originality Deduction:OEM as desribed in each manual;dated within 12 months prior to vehicle assembly......

        Wow, 12 months. That's great.

          Steven -

That's for glass (windshield, door and vent glass, back window); the six-month rule applies for mirrors.
