    On the Road Again

    Getting ready to meet the Road Tour in Barstow



    Just about to hitch up the trailer for the El Camino

    Only kidding, guess what I did last night? Changed the signal switch for the third time. This time the new Shee-Mar one . Hope it lasts.

      Jerry, is this the signal switch inside the steering column? The reason I'm asking is that the left side turn signal, you have to hold the signal arm down for it to work on my car. I believe that means that the cam inside the column needs to be replaced.

          Gerry, I remember you having the same problems when you drove to Tahoe! be safe on the roads!

              This time you will not have any mechanical problems, so you will not need to put your 4 way flashers on!!!

                  A sure fire fix;

                  1. Left arm straight out - left turn
                  2. Left arm pointing up at elbow - right turn
                  3. Left arm pointing down at elbow - stopping
                  4. Left arm pointing down at elbow and moving left and right - slowing

                  'Probably not too many remember these.
                  As I recall other signals are not approved by law enforcement.

                      Congratulations!!!! I feel the same thrill that you do since my 63 327/300 will be ready for plates this week. Also, mine has the same bumper hitch that yours does. Never saw another vette with that hitch in all the 43 years I've owned mine. Anyway, best of luck on you trip. Can't wait to plan my first one soon.

                          Nice to see the Samsonite ready to be packed and on the road again.

                          BTW - how are the wheel bearings???? :-)
