Engine assembly date stamping

Here's a straight forward question. In 1965, did the engine assembly plant (that did the engine assembly stamping) work on Sundays?

The reason for my original question is that I was shown a stamping pad that is supposedly "verified original" whatever that means. However, when I compared the stamped assembly date on the pad with a perpetual calendar I see that the date stamped on the pad is a Sunday. If it's not possible that the engine was assemblied on a Sunday, then I'm not sure that I have 100 percent confidence in the originality of the stamped pad.

Does anyone know if engine assembly ever took place on a Sunday in '65?

Tony,
I don't have a definite answer to your question but if they were working 3 shifts in 1965 the midnight shift was working on a Sunday, so the stamping would possibly show a Sunday date. Hopefully those with more knowledge will chime in.
