Early power glide fluid level, slippage.

Fluid level is above full mark on dip stick. When driving car and turning right transmission acts like it slipped into neutral for an instant. Also when stopped at a light or intersection, (level road), the transmission is again acting like it is going into neutral. When you step on the gas to drive away it functions properly.
It acts like the fluid level is low and the pickup is not into the fluid even though the fluid level is slightly above full.
Is it possible it is over filled and causing these symptoms?
If one over fills an early power glide transmission what is the potential damage,if any?

Are you sure you have the correct tube and stick installed? Turning right tells me it's not full or your turning vary fast. Because the filter is on the right side of the trans the oil is pushed to the left away from the filter pick up.
OR the filter screen SEAL is leaking or loose sucking AIR.
No it don't hurt to over fill but may cause the trans to leak in areas .

The only power glide I've had was a 67 Strato-Chief. I did overfill once and it did slip on me occasionally until I got the level back down. Do known damage though.

Too much fluid can cause the fluid to aerate, which can cause slippage. When the fluid gets whipped around by all of the moving parts inside the trans, it basically creates a lot of air bubbles, and that can cause all kinds of weird stuff to happen.
However, if you added extra fluid because it was already slipping, then it's not causing the problem.
The in-correct dipstick("gauge") and tube is also a possibility...
