i have been running a holley avenger 770 on my 66 L72 until i could aquire a good 3247. i finally installed a fully reconditioned one. it idled right off and my first test drive went well. when i realized i forgot to block off the vacuum advance, as i run constant advance, i blocked it but soon into my test drive i noticed it stopped idling. when i pulled the air cleaner i noticed gas trickling from the secondaries. i did not have this issue until i blocked the port. do i need to set the float on the secondary bowl?

Re: carb issue on 66 L72.
i did not know if blocking it caused it to be more prone to siphoning the fuel from the bowl that was possibly at the top of its adjustment. i didn't set them because i assumed because the new carb was wet flow tested it would be all adjusted but i can see now that it would need to be adjusted to its actual enviroment such as level to car.- Top
