Am surveying TDB members for which spring hanger is on your August produced 1956's or other cars you know about.

I see them get mixed when building a basket case and some restored Corvettes
Each will fit any year but only fit those years posted

My 56 is VIN 4399, a September car by one week and it has the 57 type hangers. I know you asked for August cars, but mine is close. It is an original frame with a dual VIN stamp. FWIW, the springs are originals to the car and have the date code 201 E6 stamped on them. Can post pictures if interested.

Mark, thanks for the info. Then the frame stencil number should be 303190-40 not the 56 stencil 303190-32. Gary....

My late August '56 car (4232) also has the '57 type hangers and also is dual stamped on the frame like Mark's. Hope this helps..
