Hey guys:
I was reinstalling my ignition shielding after removing it to do some cosmetic maintenance when I noticed that the "rear clip" (#3838050) was missing. I don't remember it being there when I removed the shielding, so I wanted to know if it's worth spending $16.00 plus shipping for this little piece of metal. It looks like it attaches the upper ignition shield to the tachometer shaft via tiny "teeth" on the clip. Do I really need this piece, or should I use my money on 7 gallons of 93 octane instead? By the way, the car isn't being judged, so it's a question of functionality, not originality.
Thank you,
Roger (50141)
