Well, I put in a can of R-12 yesteday. First one since 1979. It cooled to 51.8 degrees in the car, idling in the garage. The gauges showed 235# on the high side and 40# on the low side. Not bad for 42 years. The system has never been opened. Dale

You may need more air flow thru the condensor. I think if you get the car out and drive it, you may find your temp will come down a little more and also your High Side Pressure. In the garage, You may also try running your engine about 1500 with a fan in front of the car blowing air into the grill area. Also, be sure your system is full of refrigerent. Check the sight glass.
These are very good systems. It is great that your system has never been apart. By this time, most of the C-2 Systems have been into and often times screwed up.
